I find the 50-200 (non SWD) works very well on the Mark II. Lovely lens, and you can get them quite cheaply now. With the EC-14 at 283 mm it is a good bit better than the mFT 75-300 at "300" (no doubt somewhat less) mm. The AF with the little 75-300 is "faster" but not as accurate. I prefer the 50-200, and the little guy is just for traveling to go along with my Canon 400/5.6 on my Mark II.

As for Bobby's post #11 with the MTF50 charts, they are a little deceptive because they were done on two different cameras. Also the IQ drop-off on the long end of the 40-150 is alarming. The 50-200 is much more consistent.

These are valid comments.

I love the LensTip site. They are very fair and don't have any axes to grind. You can learn a lot by studying their reviews/tests. They don't just make stuff up in order to sell something.
Usually they mention what they call the "decency level", and that helps with orientation. That is missing in the review of the 50-200 though.
Also, I realize that I totally missread the chart fort the 40-150! I was looking at the 210 focal length with the 1.4x TC. My appologies to readers of my last post, to Olympus, and to the world! The 40-150 is in fact sensational at 150mm, which is actually what I would have expected!
The drop-off on the long end of the Panaleica 100-400 is another story though. There a comparison with the Canon 100-400 II is very revealing. But we should always keep in mind that the MTF charts show only ONE aspect of a lens' overall performance.
Sorry again for my screw up. Was late last night and I ain't no spring chicken
