excellent series. i like a ground level shot.
Thanks CritterRacing. I'm almost to the point that I really dislike taking anything but ground shots anymore!

These are beauties Kim. It looks like you added a bit of contrast and this makes the photos and the canada geese less drab
Morris
Thank you Morris. I may have added a touch of contrast but I think most of what you're seeing is that I was a bit off-light and for fear of blowing the whites, I underexposed more than usual. Glad I did as I think not only would I have lost the whites but the riled water would have been overpowering.

Beautiful shots, the colour palette is very pleasing to my eye.

Thanks Geoff. It was a beautiful morning there. More and more, I'm really intrigued with how so many birds are so well camouflaged to match their typical surroundings.

Very well done with great tracking Kim ~ Ron
Thank you Ron. I got good practice with the first two who flew off in unison. The third stayed behind for a minute, giving me the cue to get ready for it.

Love that last one!
Thanks Colin. Truth be told, this is about the only salvageable crop from that part of the sequence. But I'm with you; I really like it. It just takes one, right??

Wow, stellar images. I love the way you followed through with the bird because it's so easy to stop or hesitate in the process. Well done, very well done. Wish those images were mine.
Thank you Elkoholic! Many time, I too have not followed through or lost focus but I got really lucky this time. I chose the site in-part because it's relatively narrow but pretty wide open. The light worked and after the first two geese flew, I knew this one was going to. It gave me just enough time to be ready for it.

very well composed and what excellent timing. the approach is also amazing. very well done, Kim
Thanks KD! I got lucky that time. I tried again yesterday. Had a great plan and even had several Hooded mergansers lined up but they just didn't cooperate, unfortunately. Sometimes things come together; as often as not they don't...
