Hi all,

Was getting ready to sell my 300 2.8L today when I discovered that the tripod ring is stuck! Furthermore, the adjustment screw/knob will unscrew all the way out now!

Has anybody had this happen to them / any ideas as to what the fix may be? Although Canon are just down the road from my office, I doubt they'll be able to help given it's an old lens.

It wouldn't hurt to drop in and ask for a bit of help. A tech might not be allowed to work on it, but might be able to provide a valuable hint or two.
