I'm thinking of getting the low profile foot. Has anyone tried one and have any feedback?

Thanks,
Rick

Yes, the low profile is the way to go. Excellent product. Excellent quality. I have them of two longer Fuji lenses.

I'm not sure. Up until recently innever really understood the design of the 50-140 foot. It's just so dang big. But, having recently added a X-T2 and grip to my collection, it balances very nicely. I find it's also the perfect size to hold the combo upright when sitting it down.

I'm still on the fence, but less annoyed.

I don't have the battery grip and no plans to get one. I was working on configurations for my camera bags and that foot plus arca plate sticks out so darn far that both 50-140 and the 100-400 take up so much room. I'm thinking of purchasing both of the lower profile feet just so they pack easier.

I contacted hejnar and he said the gap between is:

50-140 about 4-5mm to a reversed hood
100-400 about 3-4 to a reversed hood

That is probably a bit narrower than my preference but with the fuji foot the gap is about 23mm on hte 50-140. The 100-400 seems about the same but the foot extends a lot further and you don't need the additional plate. Not really seeing the value in the 100-400 foot.

Alternative is to just take the foot off when in the bag but what a pain and if I lose it...
