I had the chance to shot the Empire State Building which was lit for the Lunar New Year on Friday. I gave the 1.4x t.c. a try on the 17mm TS-E. I like the results! The t.c. caused a little barrel distortion but I was able to easily fix it in LR. Flare seemed to be a little more noticeable but not too bad. I think this is a nice alternative than the 24mm TS-E. Now I need to find a 45mm TS-E Thanks for looking!
Thanks Dan! Definitely give the TC a try. The only thing I'd be worried about is flare falling onto detail areas of your photo where cloning would be difficult. I got lucky and mine was in the sky.

Love the colors: red, blue, gold/yellow of the Empire State Building echoed in the vehicle light streaks on the street. Well balanced shot.
