It's a beautiful beam of light when centred. I couldn't get that when mounted off-centre.

Really ? I'm not having much problems getting a beam of light when mounting my soft silver PLMs off-centre.

I see it now on your samples. I compared it with and without cage couple of years ago and decided to go 'centred'. Anyway I'm getting one. :-)

Could it be related to the fact that the central mount naturally acts as a spill kill reflector ?

Haha, well, me too, but since I have to import them to France in bunch, I'll wait a few more months to see if they decide to put the 51" back into production as well or not.
