Hi all, I'm having a hard time getting the colors right. The gazebo is giving a funky kinda yellowish cast and I am having a hard time getting realistic skin tones. Shot RAW, adjusted color temp best I could, tried color balance and hue/saturation adjustments in PS CS5.

Anyone wish to help? Much appreciated. Thank you.

Aram

Pulling back on orange usually works pretty good.

If you want to cool down the yellows and get cleaner skin tones try this when you open in ACR. Set everything back to 0 before trying it.

BASIC

Clarity +15
Vibrance -9
Saturation +4

HSL/Color/B+W

Saturation

Yellow +15
Green -6
Blue +10

Invest in a Colorchecker Passport and most if not all of these headaches will go away with one click.

You can try desaturating some individual colors (yellow, orange, red) to taste.

Happy to take a further look if you want to send the RAW.

Thanks, everyone.

CanadaMark -- yeah, keep thinking I should buy a Colorchecker but have not as yet... good advice. I'll look into it.

Best,
Aram

I have it but seldom use it. While it does a nice job in skin the blues are way oversaturated. I know did everything correctly.

I'd pull back on the black squares a little bit.

Wow, those are not natural looking at all! How did I miss that? Thanks for calling it to my attention.

I use a passport for the setup shot then use the color munki for calibration of the monitor and printer output.
