Nancy lake would be a nice day 1 campground. They have a canoe trail system if you like to explore out of the rv.

Travel inside Denali Nat'l Park via vehicle is not permitted unless you are on your way to or from your campsite. In other words, once at your campsite you are stuck to walking or catching a bus.

You can jump on a park bus and then jump off whenever you want as long as it's not within 1 mile of a bear sighting. Than you can jump on the next park bus that goes by. They usually go by every 45 minutes or so.

Denali is a good general wildlife location but there are better places to go if you are looking for a specific animal.

Good luck

Since they are "tentative plans," I was once advised to plan my bucket-listed trip to Alaska to be later in the summer because of tormenting mosquitoes, which are more abundant in the spring and early summer. Can anyone comment on the veracity of the mosquito problem and its timing?

This is especially important to photographers because we often need to stay still when wildlife are present, and we need to be particularly careful of DEET around the plastics on our equipment....

Later part of summer can be rainy as well. Since you have 3-5 days remaining, head back south into Seward. Tons of photo opportunity in and around Seward. You may look for a true wide angle lens. 24 i snot wide enough for expansive Alaskan scenery.
