Nice mood here. I see you get the winter ground fogs like we do here.

I can almost hear the snow crunching under foot. The very gentle fade into blue sky is very appealing.

Now for the nit stuff.
I think a ccw rotation of at least 2 degs would help. I think the 2 or 3 leaning post nearest the camera on the left exacerbates this visually.

Thanks, Ben. In looking at your landscapes, some parts of British Columbia resemble parts of Utah.

Thanks very much. The fence posts on the left are leaning a great deal from wind and age, but when I looked at the trees in the right corner which are quite vertical, I felt that an overall rotation would give them an unnatural perspective.

A bit of a mixed bag for me on this one.

Dig some of the lines, but that downward slope plays a bit awkward for some reason. I don't think rotation is the answer, but (skew or ) not sure I have a better suggestion atm.
+1 @ vertical trees on right. Also, a couple vertical posts in central portion of scene (one each fence).

Seems to be some magenta on the rhs and along the bottom / left, etc ... not sure if that is atmospheric, or lens / processing induced.

Here's the supersat to help reveal things a bit.

Also, an attempt at some skew. Still not sure, but I'm wondering if the Square, Level & Plumb is off somewhere along the way. Still a for me, just thinking out loud.

I'd say the tilt bothers me more than the slight cast, although a pure conversion would win for me outright.

It's an otherwise lovely and delicate scene, so I'd like to see this rotated some CCW. The rotation would also give more foreground which I think would strengthen the shot.

I can't speak to the color cast issues, but I will say something about the hill. I am used to seeing scenes like this with crooked fence posts and leaning trees on a slope, heck everything is sloped and often time the prevailing wind causes trees to lean a certain way, but this type of tree generally grows upright. The majority of these trees look ok. I would need to pull it into photoshop to check it though.

I think the slope and leaning fence posts are forcing this assumption. I like Kent's rework however.

Thanks guys, but I still think the color issue might still need some additional work ...

Of course, S&P to taste always prevails.

The original is the best, in my opinion. I would never get tired of looking at it.

This condition of ground fog under clear sky's is why we have blue at the top and white at the bottom. Keeping this is a good thing IMO. I like Jim's version, but Ricks version is true to his style.

My run at it...some pixelation in sky caused by 8-bit jpg I believe,

I like what Jim came up with on his edit. The lighting effect to draw the viewer's eyes into the center and the overall color is very appealing to me. Nice job Jim!

I second that. Beautiful work Jim.
