Processed differently
From that standpoint I have a favorite
Curious what you all think, like, prefer in terms of tonal range, look
Tweaks?

And of course general critique on comp, etc

Thanks
Scott

I have nothing helpful to say other than I like all 3.
1 and 3 better than 2. And f you press me for a choice, I like 1 best.

Are they palm trees?

The first and last for me, especially the last, create a "prehistoric" world heightened by the processing. Those clouds in #3 are breath taking!

#1 for me -- I like the foreground. It also seems to me to look like a complete image, where #3 looks a bit tight at the sides. Just my opinion.

Woo more IR!

1 - Would like to see a little highlight recovery and to see the blacks knocked up a notch. The tower in the background is distracting and pulls me back into this era. Really liking the mids and the contrast though!

2 - Not feels the mids on this one. Bit muddled/dirty IMO. Contrast is not as pleasing as #1.

3 - Now I really like this one. Boost the midtone contrast for more pop/depth. Clone out the SUV entering stage right. Rotate slightly clockwise to correct lean.

$0.02 and keep 'em comin!!!

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, palms, some of which have been decapitated, probably by past storms. And serve as perches for various birds. The Great Blue Herons love to be atop the palms and ospreys, which I did not see there, like open views that the deadheaded palms provide.

My fav, too. Thanks Ben. IR loves clouds in the sky.
And so do I.

Thanks Keith. I think you are right about the tight feel. I will rework to eliminate the trunk extreme right edge.

Thought you would enjoy these, Jeff.
Thanks for the detailed respone.
So, my favorites are 3, 2, 1 in that order. To me the first feels off somehow in the processing but perhaps your tweaks will improve. Second feels most traditional and I thought would go over easiest. love the oddness of the third and the big sky. SUV needs to exit. Thanks.

+1 about #3 and the big sky vs. small grove feel. At first I tried to tighten the crop, but it actually made the image rather boring in comparison. Well done!

#2 has it for me. I'm a sucker for that aspect ratio and I like tonalities of that one.

My nits on that image would be the need for a hard ccw rotation and maybe a slight crop off the left and top edge.
