Hummer with 300mm F4 .Raw converted with Oly Viewer 3. No sharpening applied. The file size reduces the sharpness quite a bit from original. Any tips on how to resize and maintain quality ?

OK..........enough of this nature stuff!

How about some falling water drops for a change. Our camera club had a recent exercise to capture falling drops as they hit a bowl of water.

I used the little Olympus 14-150 with manual focus and the tiny OEM flash that came with the camera, Flash set to 1/5 power.

Was the color in the bowl that you were using? Did you have any back lighting or other strong lighting besides the flash?
(Probably not, since the flash is stopping the motion.?)

Here's an image that I captured with the new 45mm f/1.2 Pro lens at the photo show in Javits Center.

Kim,

The bowl was a simple clear bowl from the Dollar Store. No extra lighting, just the little Oly flash, The color was from a patterned piece of fabric. The hard part was getting the right focus point. I used the LCD screen with focus peaking and manual focus on the lens. As the water dropped I adjusted the focusing until I saw the red peaking on the splash. Of course this was on a tripod with a cable release. Next was to get the timing right to catch the moment after the drop hit the water in the bowl.........took quite a few tries to get it down.

Mitesh, this is your signature style which I have started recognising, I can see you pictures and tell that you shot them.
Soft backgrounds, quite bright, and overexposed if I may say (as against Philip Reeves pictures which are mostly under)...I love these shots, btw have you considered buying 60mm macro?

Those kingfisher are hard to get. They are pretty hyper! Nice.

Fabulous shots mitesh, thanks.
The 300/4 Pro with MC-14 should give you enough stand off distance to be safe!

I probably should have used my 300Pro for this one. He was not too happy about me interrupting his lunch.
I did use the 300 Pro and MC-14 for the Coyotes.
Elk was in Estes Park, CO, yesterday at noon.
Both Coyote shots in Rocky Mountain National Park, yesterday.

The Coyote shots were after the sun had gone down behind the mountains, so lighting and distance were against me, but I sort of like the effect.

I left the second one OOC, because I think it made it look more ghostly. The Coyotes are pretty much 100% crops. The different apertures are just an anomoly of the lens. Sometimes it shows 5.6 and sometimes 6.3 when wide open.
