Hello Everyone,

I didn't know who to ask, but I recently purchased a used camera from B&H in 9+ condition. I was pretty excited to get this camera in, with little to no wear. I just received the camera and it doesn't look to me like 9+. Received the item with a lot of marking, and markings that look they were attempted to be covered up. I paid $3500 for a Leica Q used, I wouldn't expect this to be what I received.

Good question! But I would also add a couple of pics showing the entire camera? These are very close up macro shots which may not be as bad as you suspect. But I am not sure this would rank as 9+ either...

FWIW, my experience was similar with a used lens that was rated 9, back in August time frame. The lens has an obvious ding and paint loss on the focus and zoom rings. I did not have time to discuss with B&H. It was not my first time buying used at B&H. All previous purchases were positive. I had assumed a ding was only for equipment rated 8, not 9. It will be my last time buying used from B&H after this experience.

Just contact B&H and work it out with them, that's what i would do. It doesn't look too bad to me, but Leica people have want it to look better?

Wear marks are one thing but dings resulting in dents are another. Definitely not a 9+...send it back.

Yes, I initially tried to contact B&H and tell them that the item was not as described. I would love to keep the camera, but it's not as expected according to the description.

I also ended up trying to turn on this camera, I got a system error as well.... So I think I will have to let them know that it doesn't work as well as it wasn't in the correct description.

I don't mind dings, and I am ok with having things in used condition, but when you purchase a 9+ camera and it comes dinged, scraped etc., I don't feel like it's properly described.

Finally got it figured out. Took a lot to get them to acknowledge that this wasn't in the correctly described description.

Dings are a pet hate - indicative of impact.

I ended up just sending it back, looks like there were some issues with the body as well. System errors when booting up the camera.
