Joshua, of course! To the right and hanging on the brown pole was a radar looking metal round thing. You can stlll se a trace of where I tried to remove in the upper right. Also there was a line, telephone maybe running across the tail feathers.

Joshua, when bored, I put the before and after on my blog:

Robert, I would have not known that if hadn't told me. What I was referring to is more the PP to enhance the rendition of the hawk itself.

Joshua remember I'm crap at processing---but thanks to you, Morris, Socrate, Ron, and others I'm learning---just harder to get zip off the wicket at my age
If you look at the blog linked you'll see I did a lot, well mostly levels tool and some shadow pull in ACF besides the sad clone stamp work. Still studying the method Socrate linked to me.

Very nice shot, Robert. Sharp, well exposed and clear. One thing I noticed is your use of a square crop and I believe you must had your reasons for it. Cropping an image a certain way can have an impact on how the viewer sees an image. Now, square crops are hard to compose in because they lack direction which means they give no directional flow to the comp imparting a sense of "static". This is how I feel looking at your image. To my eyes a vertical crop would work better with this image, giving some dynamism and tension to the image. However that is your choice and if you are pleased with the image that is what it matters.

Socrate honestly I never thought about it=no imagination and no serious reasoning.
I had 10 min's to process this one before heading off to the hospital but I'll certainly think
through the cropping next time I'm working an image.
Thanks again for your insight.

It looks pretty darn serious. Nice portrait, Robert.

Thanks for posting.
