3 years ago at Thanksgiving we adopted a 10-year-old toothless chihuahua that was a constant source of amusement. When associates would come by the house to drop off jobs, June would jump on their lap(s) and give them constant attention while we do ingests and discuss upcoming work/challanges. That simply became known as "June Time".
We had to put her down last week (cancer in the gut) and in putting together a little framed memorial, it became clear that almost all the memorable photos were from ... you guessed it ... gear tests. Lens comes back from a repair, test it on a pet. A lender to evaluate, test it on a pet. A new body for the bag ... test it on a pet. Kids and other family members get photographed on vacations and significant events but if it wasn't for gear tests I wouldn't have many shots of the pets at all.
Funny how that works out.
