They're pretty equal throughout the entire ISO range in my eyes. I wouldn't make it as a determining factor of which camera to get. Canon 80D will have slightly more detail but the Olympus is no slouch.

No... I have an E-M5 (not E-M5 Mk II) and a Metabones adapter for my EF-mount lenses, and I'm wondering if there'd be any point in getting an 80D. It's certainly cheaper than an E-M1 Mk II. I do like the IBIS.

FWIW on older bodies I feel like the gh1 is better up to and including 800, the 30D better at 1600+. Pixel size is important to high iso.

I would guess the 80D is faster, in operation, but havenít used either.

FF is better at 1600+, I suspect, even with an old body.

Banding issues aside, I wouldn't be surprised if a 5D beat a newer aps or m4/3 at high iso.
