Picked up a new to us but well used and fully functional Pro-B2 for a great price to augment all our Acute units, D1s, etc. Unit works like a charm, but when powered on, there is a faint whine from the pack - identical to a D1 in standby mode. Being new to the Pro-B line, thought I'd run it up the flagpole.

I got a couple, one has a bit louder fan noise then the rest (At least think/hope it has a fan). On a side note, do you find the the ready audible extremely quiet? (I bought all mine from the same rental house)

The fan noise is the one I'm describing - obviously not abnormal. I didn't think the 7B/B2/B3 had a fan (there's no intake port), but...

Mine is ex-rental as well, but was too good deal to say no to.

At first 'glance', the recycle beep seems about typical relative to our Acute Packs, Compacts and D1s - that said I've only tested it in a small quiet room.

The Acute packs are robust, but the Pro-Bs take it to another level.
