no, I didn't. I was the guy who just informed those who chose to read it that there was a new version out. and maybe just a little less neurotic.

Yes, old versions of Photoshop can co-exist on machines with newer versions. All versions of Photoshop have bugs.

True, but, that applies to all major software apps and that isn't going to change anytime soon. Humans aren't perfect but do a pretty darn good job considering they create, write and maintain millions of code lines. It is amazing that software works at all. Bugs can be serious problems at times but for the most part they are just a minor inconvenience.

I have CS2, CS6, CC, CC 2014, CC 2015 CC 2015.5 and CC 2017 installed. I'm Quite sure one will get the job done. CC 2015.5 and CC 2017 has a scripting bug that bites some on my Photoshop scripts.

i simply use (currently):
-ACDsee 19 as my light table
-DxO 11 as my raw development and optical/spacial correction tool
-PScc 2017 for secondary raw conversion and image finalization

each transfers the image easily in the stream once its done what it has had to. been using the same combination for about 6 or so years. i generally don't spend more the 20 or so minutes on an image. i do occasional revisit them though.
