p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · My First Wedding - Shot on Film

Two weeks ago i had the opertunity to shoot my first wedding for some friends of ours (no charge) and i would like to share the results here with you all and would appreciate some feedback.

The biggest challenge i found was time, especially when group shots started to run over with people not being able to be found...

Everything outdoors was shot on a Pentax 645nII + 75mm f2.8 lens and everything indoors was on a Nikon F4 & F5 + 50mm f1.4 lens.

All images shot on Fuji 400H, lenses always wide open (1.4 & 2.8) and around 3 to 4 stops over exposed.

None of the images has been edited or touched in photoshop, that's one step i try and avoid at all costs. I try and do everything i want to do in camera.

For further images of the wedding please see my website at www.jonathanbrownphotography.com and here is a selection below

Thank you all in advance!

What do they say? It's not the destination, but the journey.

Film is great.
I would take a bit of time in LR to get the scans cohesive with one another.
You can get exposure correct in camera etc. but scanning is a whole different thing.
I spent most of my day editing for hybrid shooters...matching digital to film, matching scan to scan, etc.
Some of the scans seem a bit orange and others seem a bit magenta. Nothing that cannot be fixed really quickly.
