This is very different from your normal style. I would have like the shot better without the log pile on the right as it's a heavy distraction away from your subject.

Not to be harsh but this feels more like a snap shot than a photograph. Especially in comparison to the nice work I have seen you produce. I hate saying snippy things like that but I know you want honest feedback and this is only my personal opinion.

Thanks for your critique, Dave.

These native fishermen always amaze me in their daring. They do not wear lifejackets nor are they tethered to the shore should they slip into the very fast moving waters perhaps to be swept under log jams such as the one pictured.

I never knew about this type of fishing until a couple of years ago when they showed them on one of those Alaska State Troopers TV shows.
Considering the size of some of the salmon they were pulling out it's amazing they don't fall in. Crazy people!

That is sad. I don't understand why they would take such a risk.
