p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Question about "DLSR Controller" App

I have a quick question about the app called "DLSR controller". I was looking though it and I noticed under the settings you can view your cameras info including shutter count. Is this an accurate way to get your cameras shutter count or do you need to download one of the actual shutter count programs?

Thanks

I've been using DSLR Controller for a couple of years with my 6D and Galaxy N3, usually via USB cable. I haven't noticed the shutter count parameter in the app, but I'd suspect that it might not be accurate. The ability to retreive shutter count from a camera varies widely, according to the specific model being considered. Also, it could be shutter count since changing the battery, or something equally not obvious. The best way to find out is to ask at the DSLRController site.
