Detail and tonal range are exceptional both in the bicycle as well as in the grungy remnants of the factory. Do you have any knowledge of the bike's age or why it still remains after all these years?

Great shot Lazlo, terrific processing, not sure the bike is that old it still looks like it is in good nick.

Cheers Ray

excellent shot
doubt the bike is old, too
matte finish without logos has been kind of in for bikes not too long ago

Thank you guys. It looked pretty old to me, but maybe it was just weathered.

Wonderful tonal range - subdued lighting is perfect.

Looks like overspray on spokes, front wheel - I'll bet a handcrafted bike, done with great affection.

Fantastic shot, Lazlo, my friend! You have such an uncanny ability to make even the most mundane subjects look extraordinary. I love it!

Warm regards,

Endre

I love the old factory, but that bike is not only not old, it is new.

Thanks Bob
it is an unusual looking bike, could be "handcrafted" to a certain extent

Thanks Jeffrey. I can assure you the bike is quite old looking "in color" , lots of rust on the spikes and gears. It must have been standing out there for a while.

As a kid, we used to do that pretty much the first thing - strip off all the gadgets, fenders, chain guards, lights, reflectors, etc. to only brakes and maybe gear mechanism. Spray paint, maybe put your fav stock-car driver's number (dirt track now) at the head of the front fork, and good to go. All that without the benefit of YouTube and mobile phone!

Ahh, the simple things.

Thanks for the opportunity to reflect

Oh the good old days Bob.
I did nothing like that to my first bike, but it has lost quite a few pieces anyway on the first
