Hi,

I asked a question last week about the VLX inverter, but now I want to expand on portable power inverters in general.

Based on my research and help on the forums, there isn't that much in terms of portable inverters:

Godox LP-800X - $719 - (also rebranded as Dynalite, Flashpoint and etc.)
LiFePO4 battery
153 Watt · hour capacity
750W inverter continuous, 1400W peak
15 lbs, with a beefy handle

VLX Vagabond - $400
LiFePO4 battery
159 Watt · hour capacity
400W inverter
6 lbs, with no handle but an ergonomically questionable carrying case

Tronix Explorer 500Li - $690
LiFePO4 battery
Watt · hour capacity
500W inverter (continuous), 1000W peak
10 lbs, carrying handle

What else is out there? It sounds like all of these units were released a number of years ago, so I'm wondering if I'm missing other newer portable inverters? Any high-current inverters I should be looking at outside of the photography space?

Based on my research, I am leaning towards the Godox right now.

Thanks!

Well, since those were made, there has been a shift to lights designed to be battery powered, often having the batts built in. It could be the market is shrinking in this range.
