p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Best M42->EOS adapter?

I have a handful of M42 lenses coming in soon, and I'm trying to find the best adapter available for them.

I'd like them to be programmable, so the EXIF is correct and so I can get AF confirmation.

I see the Fotodiox Pro v2 like this one, but I'd love to hear about better ones or experiences.

For reference, the lenses are a Spiratone Plura-Coat, a couple of Super Takumars, and a Helios.

I know the above link is saying things like, V1 for this one and that one, but V2 for these...can I just get V2 for all of them?

Any help is appreciated.

I bought three Fotodiox M42 - EOS V.1 adapters in 2012, and they're providing excellent service. I also have some old generic ones that are pretty good, too. I don't use chips on my adapters.

Do all of your M42 lenses have man/auto switches for aperture control ?

I...think so? Damn, I don't know. The Super Takumars do. I don't know that I would change them from wide-open anyway; that's where the fun is.

Aaaaand I just found the Alt Lens subforum and FAQ...
