Some of my captures from Katmai trip this last summer. The big boars are impressive at eye level, specially if you encounter them on the trail. I had quite a few adventures (always in safetly of a group). They do not usually make eye contact, but when they do, it can be quite intense. In spirit of season - happy halloween. (C&C always appreciated)

Thank you Ron, I see #4 and feel the emotion of "I dare you". Those of us who had been to Katmai before (this was my second trip), knew that the only reason we made it back to camp every night was because the bears allowed us to live and prefer the taste of salmon

Very nice bear portraits! The intensity you mention definitely shines through in some of these. I'd agree that #5 is hi-drama; wouldn't want to be on the other side of that charge.

These are all very nice!
"Things" would be getting real messy if I ever saw that looking at me while walking down a trail as you nailed in #6. I'd feel sorry for the person behind me as were running off.
