A powerful photo Rick, and something very different from what you've been showing us. You've created a ghostly feeling, with the foreground in sharp focus and the receding graves seen less clearly in the misty distance. Only the graves are shown, everything else whited out. Surely a tragedy here, a young woman only 28 years old passing, we'll probably never know why. I couldn't imagine this in anything but the stark black and white processing we see here.

I don't have the opportunity often, but I like shooting in cemeteries. Always interesting aspects to photograph, and in a certain morbid way, a glimpse and reminder of our future.

My only suggestion is that the composition to my eye feels tight on the top and bottom. If you had room to play with, you might open it up in those two areas.

Thanks Steve. This is from a First Nations' cemetery in winter.

I completely agree. I like how the middle headstone is also a Jones, adds another layer to the untold story here.

Very unique Rick and quite different from your usual landscape subject matter. Although the subject is different, the minimalist you still shines through. This is very nicely done and rather stunning.
