Awesome Picture, you will have to forgive the ignorance as I have been away from photography for a while. How are these shots taken when I was in to Macro photography about 6 years ago we were all using Macro lenses and possibly extension tubes to take some good shots. However no where near this level of detail. There have been several posts now that have mentioned x times power and from Google searches it appears to be related to microscope lenses. How are these being used ? Can anyone attach them ? Whats the process ?

Sorry if its a stupid question.

As you have not had a response:;

There are, basically, two types of images posted here.

a) Subjects in their wild environment, where the photographer often has only a second or two to get the shot.

b) Stacked images of immobilised or static subjects

There is an intermediate situation, using stacks of a small number of images in field conditions. Brian Valentine does some of these and often includes stacked stereos.

Ah I see, I wasn't aware of people using static subjects. Thank you for the info
