Howdy all! This is probably my first time posting in this part of the forum.
I usually hang out in the Nikon forum and gear talk.

The images below are a year apart, plus or minus a few days.
We purchased this home and I have remodeled my kitchen with a little help from my father in law.
It still needs some touches and finishes needed like baseboard around the island, outlet covers, etc.
Design credit goes to my wife

CC's, comments and observations welcome!

Personally I would crop out the cutlery on the left, and crop to the edge of the cabinetry on the right. It doesn't add anything to the shot and brings a lot of distractions into the shot with all the outlets, switches, and the doorbell...

but I'm no expert.

Much nicer kitchen. Much better photo, too! I echo Go4Long's cropping advice.

If he took out the left you wouldn't be able to see that the window was gone.

From the photos, it looks like you took out the wall on the right opening up the room. This was no small remodel that you did!

Having done a few of these in my life, you and your father in law did a really nice job!

HAHA! Very nice observation! Yes, the window is now gone... Yes, the entryway into the basement is in a totally different spot now.
It is now an open floor plan... We even turned the sunroom that was detached into a dining room, which is part of the open floor plan.
I did a lot whole more than this... Raised the ceiling, etc. All in all it was a project that had just them 2x4's in place, everything else is new...

And thank you!
