p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · A bit tight C/Y adapter on Sony A7ii camera - (general and) specific question.

Hi,

A local shop has a NEX adapter for C/Y lenses
to be used as well on Sony A7, as it is their offer.

I want to to place it on a Sony A7ii. It actually feels
a bit tight to put it on and as tight to take it off. A bit
less tighter would have made it perhaps quicker to
unmount.

I mean, the two other adapter mounts I have for other
lenses can be mounted and taken off much easier.

I have two questions with regard to this situation.

Is that really an issue for the camera or lens in
a damaging way if the adapter to the camera is a
bit too tight?

May the adapter eventually yield a bit with time?

Thank you, kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

The A7II has the newer all metal mount IIRC, lots of adapters are tighter than they should be, this is because these company's reverse engineer the mounts rather than follow the spec which may not be available to them, Sigma had a similar issue with Canon's EF mount, you would have to send in your lens so it could be updated to work on new bodies.
The lens should be fine, I'd be more worried about the camera's mount, personally, I'd just buy a newer adapter that fits properly.
