What do you think?

Ah, OK, sorry. I thought it would be more apparent.

All the leaves were green. The reddish color is too extreme pushing in post and exceeds what the sensor can manage.

technical:
Shot in pitch black, Sony A7s, ISO 400. The whole image is pushed about +2 EV and the dark parts further +1.5 stops with the brush in LR.

It still looked good when editing the whole RAW file, but when I exported the image just from the smart-preview it rendered like this.

The color and the texture are a sensor artifact.

What I wanted to say is, that if we sometimes push the limits far further then the technic was made for, we can get surprising and sometime pleasing results.

Only if you experiment and actually try things instead of just saying "ainīt going to work" we have the chance to discover something new for ourselves.

Sounds more philosophical then it was intended...

You have such a sweet and gentle approach to the craft. I like it.

The texture may play better without the confounding color. How is it black and white?

Seriously I like it in color better. The opposite colors green/red play nice together in my opinion.

Furthermore, one thing that makes the image interesting for me is, that even people who know photography, not necessarily see immediately what is going on.

The blocky chunks of red were pretty clear to me what it was. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten it if you didn't mention anything about sensor.

You know that I value your opinions, why should I asked otherwise? Many time you guys brought me on the right way (remember blue tint?)

Well I just thought it was a weird over sharpened, over shopped image. All those specular highlights made me think they were fireflies at first.

Meh, maybe. I black-and-white-ified it and the crunchy contrasty space around the couple almost reads like a star field or something. I dig it.

interesting! But you realize the actual file can be pushed further than the smart preview, right?

Of course, but then itīs looks "normal"

No beautiful odd color and no artefacts.

once I connect my drive, the wonder is gone...
