p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Best lens for people photography?

Hey,

I'm going to an event that I help out on where we take disabled kids out fishing for the day. I'm going to take photos of the kids in the boat with their captain. We then take that photo while they're out fishing and print it and put it into a plaque that we give them while they're having lunch.

I have a Canon 6D and we have a printer that you drop the SD card into and then print it. I'm wondering what would be the best lens to use for this that would make it the easiest, least or no editing? Remember, we have a photo of a kid and a boat captain sitting together or standing in a boat.

Here are the lenses I have to chose from:

Canon EF 16-35mm F/4L
Canon EF 24-105mm F/4L
Canon EF 17-40mm F/4L
Canon EF 50mm F/1.4
Leica Summicron-R 50mm (manual focus, not the greatest idea though)
Zeiss 25mm F/4 (manual focus, not the greatest idea though)

THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!!

the one on your camera pointing at a person...

From the list to choose and considering the event, the 24-105 would be the easy choice for me. I suspect the clients are not going to be picky and will be happy with what will be given to them. The 24-105 gives you the most flexibility.

i agree, i'd probably pick the 24-105 out of those choices. in this case, i think wider is better. you want to capture the whole moment, not just the people. make sure you get the boat, the water, any fishing poles, etc all in the frame.
