This was a difficult shot. The morning light was weak and almost coming from behind. I chose not to use a TC because of the weak light. I shot a bunch of shots at +1 EV and +2 EV exposure compensation and at +2 the noise was better after brightening the shadows. The noise is still more apparent than I would like and the color was not quite right. Daylight WB gave a bluish image. The Red Shouldered Hawks, a pair of them, seem to have replaced the Cooper's Hawks that would perch in our tall dead tree every morning. At one time they had a nest in a tree on our street. I would love to see them construct another nest in the spring.
