p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Movement in 70-200 ii

I'm really hoping that I just never noticed this and everything is good, but the other evening I noticed when I had the lens caps off, and I lightly shook/moved the lens, I could see movement towards the back of the lens. It wasn't anything earth shattering but I can't seem to replicate it with any other lenses.

I was cleaning blood off of the front element (mma photos) and holding it up to the light, while looking through the back when I noticed it.

Thanks

I just tried to replicate it with my other is lenses and no dice but now perhaps I'm thinking there is no movement in the 70-200. I tried again and no dice. Maybe the light glare gave me the impression of it moving. There is a sound in the lens but it's been there since I bought it new. I just use it until it dies.

Maybe the IS element wasn't fully parked, when you shook it the first time.

What do you use to clean off the blood, RBR ?

No. Though I've trained judo and jujitsu for a number of years, I'm not the combative type. I was cage side and a dude got clocked after he already had a cut opened up.

RBR? I use alcohol wipes on the whole lens and on the element I use a lens cleaner.

Does your 70-200 make any sounds when you shake it?

Residual Blood Remover. A play on words, from ROR, Residual Oil Remover.

Basinga !

Yes, a very low, slight clunky-ness, while it's being shaken.
