Extremely lucky to get a media pass to shoot the tournament
First time shooting golf. Knowing how sensitive pro golfers are to shutter sound, I planned to mount the 400/2.8 on my D500 to gain some separation from me and the players. Big mistake right out the gate as I grabbed the D810 from home instead of the D500. So .... 400/2.8 on D4s and 70-200 on D810 and off I went. Luckily, I did not agitate any players the whole round.
Below are a few shots I like and I hope you like them too ...
1. Caroline Masson of Germany ... I titled this "Sky's the limit". The shot was taken in the 1st round and, lo and behold, she WON the tournament (her 1st ever win in LPGA). Talk about serendipity 8>
