p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Canon Rebel Film - Kodak Ektar 100 in Lassen & CA Delta

I recently purchased one of the last Canon's to be built for film, a Rebel GIII. Kodak Ektar 100 is a bit over-saturated, but there is practically no grain and when I put it on my photo-quality monitor, I remembered just how good film really looks!

It's been estimated that film is equal to 150-200 MP. Combine that with a Leica lens and the photos are very sharp.

Thanks for checking this out and comments welcome.

You should post these in the film thread.

Kodak Ektar 100 is a very capable film with good resolution. I recently shot this film both with my Canon Rebel X (EOS500) camera and with my Leica M7. You can develop the film easily yourself by using C-41 chemicals. The only con of this film is in dark areas which tend to appear often with some bluish cast after digitizing the negative. But you can adjust this in post processing. Below a few of my shots with Ektar 100:

The film thread is a suitable place - I posted several of my shots there, too. But discussing film specifics can deserve its own thread - I think it is not a bad idea having a film-specific photo thread. In the general film thread you won't be able to see a continuous flow of photos fitting to a specific film only. Of course if we start now creating a new thread for each film separately, Fred might need to open a separate forum just for this......
