I have a serious problem with Madam LH! Her work is too good, and us nether folks cant hold a candle, not only to her photo skills, but her editing finesse. Fred! I call foul!

Brian

You have definitely nailed the "back-lit in a field" technique!

Lisa_Holloway ---

Dear lady, if it hasn't started somewhere already, there will eventually be a coffee-table book about your life and work!

You are a legend in your own time with a camera!

love your photos! I've been a long time follower of your IG.

My only nit pick critique is image 4, its pretty obvious your blurred the image in post to simulate the bokeh effect. You should try the Ryan Brenizer Method for wide angle, shallow depth of field bokeh.

I NEVER add fake blur to my pictures, so no, no it isn't.

the amount of bokeh for such a wide angle shot, with the subject being so far away your depth of field should be in meters and not a couple of inches, and the inconsistencies in foreground blur (one sunflower is blurred but the one next to it isn't etc) just looks a bit strange.

I know a photog can't reveal all her secrets but do you mind sharing what lens you used for that last shot?

It's an image stitch. I was closer than I appear, set the focus point on her, and photographed all the surrounding areas, then stitched in Photoshop. I think it's called a Brenizer.
