p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Adapter for Nikkor-N non AI to Sony E

Hello,

Has anyone experience of obtaining adapters for Nikkor-N non AI? Lost of listings refer to Nikon F and some mention non-AI. Will an N mount fit an F mount? I am expecting to use the lens as fully manual. I am not Nikon user, appart from my Printing-Nikkors which have no standard mounts anyway.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Harold

Non-ai lenses are F mount. I highly recommend the metabones adapter.

The "N" in these non-ai, F-mount lenses refers to the number of optical elements, not a different type of mount.

There is a Nikon N to F adapter. That one is intended to adapt certain (long) Nikon Rangefinder lenses to Nikon F.

I think you are referring to a 24 or 28mm f2 or f2,8 Nikkor-N Auto lens, which is a non-Ai lens (with nine lens elements) with Nikon F mount.

Any of the cheap Nikon F adapters will do the job. None of the Nikon to NEX Adapters has the Ai indexing tab on the lens mount side which is the only thing interfering when mounting non-Ai lenses on modern Ai capable (Nikon) cameras.

Yes, the 24 mm.

Thanks for the advice.
