July is winter and Tarangire river is almost dry, as are other water holes. Almost at any time of the day, there are opportunities to see some animals near the river.

I kept this picture little wider, may be too wide for some monitors. If that is unsuitable, I will gladly resize.

As usual, C&C is appreciated.

Niall,

I am so glad that you will be there too.

I have, as you expect, more than a thousand from Tarangire Park. Let me post a few quick processes from the same river bed shot at the same time.

I will do separate threads for elephants, vultures, baboons, lions, buffaloes from Tarangire. After that, I have more from Ngorongoro and Serengeti.

Africa is sensory overload!
