. It all should be over by later in the Fall and after that they might start demolishing the buildings. Once thousand of people worked in these factories.

Thank you Tom. I have been going there with my friend Ted Roth for about 5 years. We started when the factory was still operating. Have about 10 thousand pictures by now ( maybe even more)
There are a few more pictures here from yesterday:

I followed the link to check out the "few more" pictures.

All I can say about the second photo in the last row is WOW! I don't now exactly what it is about that image, but to me it is very impressive.

I am not really sure what it is, didn't dare to tip my toe into it, but my best guess that is the combination of water, oil on the top and some kind of mettalic bubbles

Glad to see this documented so well. And special that you got access and a chance to shoot the welding sparks.
Nicely done.

At first, I thought I was looking through a hole in the floor, then I realized it was a reflection of the ceiling on a liquid surface. The image is very well done. The other images were interesting, but this one was impressive.

Super well documented and felt.
Despite (or because of) the sadness of times soon gone.

Nice work Laz, great tribute to a time gone by. It really is sad to see ruins like this knowing our fathers and grandfathers spent most of their lives here.

Thanks Bob. I was using the standard 18-55 mm most of the times with tripod and very long exposure since it is all most completely dark inside.

Thanks,

Impressive - shooting an informal wedding (unable to decline and stay married) in October and debating between 18-55 and 16-55/2.8 - buy the first, rent the latter. Weather permitting, outdoors; otherwise small interior space. Appreciate any suggestions - getting ill is not a solution.

Bob, I never used 16-55 but I do not think that it really matters which one you pick. I hardly ever shoot weddings so I cannot give you any more advice, except the your talent and the Fuji system will handle everything superbly. I am quite sure of that,
