Thanks, they are out of the semigloss paper, but still a heck of a deal.

Mine arrived today, but the box with the ink got smushed by an inch during shipping from Indianapolis. Doesn't appear to be leaking anywhere, but had a Canon rep document this just in case one does leak later.

Thanks DJ.

Just placed an order for a full ink restock for my Pro-1000. Not sure what I'll do with the glossy, but I'll certainly use up the 300pc of pro-luster and 600pc of semi-gloss that's on it's way.

Do a lot of you print from home? I am wondering with the cost of professional prints being so low, what is it that you find makes it worth it? Just curious, not trying to say one is better.

16X24 prints are about $10 in Canada on high end paper, I can only imagine they are cheaper in the USA haha.

24X36 stretched & mounted archival grade local canvas runs around $115 CAD.

Are you guys printing so often that it is somehow cheaper to do from home? Or is it just for convenience?

Mark,

In my case, it's volume printing 5x7's and 8x10's. The workflow convenience alone makes it worth it. I'll cluster images on the larger paper and then trim with a rotatrim. Affords me the option to leave a nice white border around each print. Then on top of that, the prints that come off my Canon Pro-1000 are excellent.

Every time these deals pop up, I am tempted. For me, its still more economical to use pro labs. Let them deal with ordering and keeping supplies (ink/paper) in stock.
