p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Hummingbird "eating" from a flower in a wood

When I was walking in the wood, I saw those flowers and wait if something interesting occured. This little hummingbird come a few times and I tried to capture its flight and interaction with the flora.
I had a flash attached to the camera and tried to use it as a fill light.
Thanks!

Very nice. I think I would tone down the background stems on the right side but that is just my personal preference.

Nicely done!
I have no nits but I wonder how this wold look as a vertical to play up on the tall slender flowers? Might be something to play with but I like it as is. I'm curious what others think about this.

Thanks Dave!
I haven't tried vertical framing in this case but it is a good idea to take some shots whit that framing.

Sebasan,

Wonderful capture and the fill was very tastefully done.

I would prefer a slightly tighter crop as I feel the extra space isn't adding anything to the image as a whole.

Cheers!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff four your critique!
I like the version that you have attached, it is less distracting like you say.
