My daughter took up rowing as a sport, so that means something new for Dad to shoot.
It took some getting used to, especially how the course is 2 km or 5 km long (or sometimes even 1.5 km), the action is slow at times while waiting for boats to get to you, the action is fast at times when two boats are surging next to each other at the finish line, or sometimes the action just isn't there when they call a restart and it takes 5 minutes for everyone to get back to the starting line and ready to go.
Sometimes you shoot tight: (1D4 with 400 f/2.8 + 2x TC, slightly cropped)

Sometimes you shoot loose:

And sometimes, when you have a major backlighting situation due to early start, you make art:

(Photos 1 and 3 are my daughter, photo 2 was chosen as an example of a single and the billboards in the back.)
And all of this is right in my backyard, actually.
