Two sides of arguably the most beautiful but certainly the most versatile cat. Sitting on her throne she surveys her surroundings and then the darker side when they do what they do.

I like both of these Eric. I'm wondering if you could convert the second using a different channel balance to make the background of the second lighter as this would make the cat stand out.

The first is an amazing shot, but what about the eagles head (complete with eye) in the tree to the immediate left? Skilled as you are I figure you slipped that in ... or did I fail the Rorschach test again

Fantastic Eric . Really like the black and white especially on the last.

Beauty and the Beast is a great title for these.

Thanks so much...when I see them just posing I often forget their true nature.

Hey Charles, I'm not sure about failing the Rorschach test but you do have a very vivid imagination...although that would have been quite the cool shot.

Back in the day every issue of Boys Life magazine had a page filled with a line drawing: the goal was to find the animals, characters and scenes hidden within.

Part of the game was the discovery that once you see something clearly you can't miss the previously hidden --- not a bad lesson for life BTW.

This Boy Scout's sharp eyes have weathered decades and the brain cells have substantially diminished --- but the beak is shaped by the root to the left of the cat --- with the head and eye outlined to the right of the beak.

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ... along with the observation that I always marvel at your work and opening comments accompanying your post.

Hi Eric,

For me the new conversion not only brought out the cat, it also created 3 nice bands of tone
