It is near impossible to get 100% focus with the Rokinon at any aperture, because I feel the green dot in the camera and actual visual focus in the viewfinder are off from what I get on the sensor. LiveView will work, but I hate using it and it is useless when shooting handheld, which I do most of the time. My solution is to fire off a set of frames while gently moving my body through the roughly identified focal distance. Last weekend, I got one shot like that out of 9 frames, all others were crap, and all others showed the green dot.
Given I rarely have time to set up a shot, I am going to buy AF glass in this category going forward. I want a 200mm f/2, but have absolutely no interest in the MF version, as I expect the same frustration working that lens in the field. For me, MF glass first of all has to be a bargain. There are few other reasons I shoot those lenses.
