Just picked up an FTN Photomic to use in a display. The meter doesn't work and I wonder if it's possible to have it repaired. Any one know who might do this?

I saw an adapter for the battery in a google search. Seems the originals had mercury in them.

Depending on the finder, there was a push button on one, and not the other, there are contacts between body and finder, contacts for the battery.. A slew of places for failure given time sitting.

I'd clean that up but good and get some fresh juice for the power prior to sending anything anywhere. Chances are it's a home fix.

Many old batteries are available now as silver oxide or air batteries.
