Yosemite, that is. Sunrise from Tunnel View, yesterday.

I made a blitz-run up there Sun night, after the kids/grand kids left ~ 9:30pm
Got there about 1:30am in the morning & napped/waited for sunrise.

Taken with the Sony A7R, FD 35mm-TSE.
With all the last minute stuff, film gear checkout, FORGOT the remote release!
So this was taken using the timer & adjusting the S/S accordingly to accomplish a bracket.

3-shot manual blend that seemed to require more alignment tweaks than normal.
No sharpenng or color adust inP/S. The sky really had those colors

C&C always appreciated

Edit- w/shadows bumped

Thanks
Dan

Hey Dan,

That is a cool looking sky, if you bracketed though where is the detail in the ground layer? Brighten up the ground layer and this could look really nice.

Jim, It was pretty dark at that time but I do have this version of the edits (see post)

Thanks

Dan, I like the second version with the added delicate details in the shadows. I also like how you kept it real. Nice.

Second one for me too. Overall color palette is pleasing to the eye here.

Dan, how do you like the 35mm TS -lens? I could get one for quite good price locally.

Thanks for the comments. It was my 1st real sunrise capture at Yosemite.

I am pretty happy with this TSE lens. It seems to hold up to the Sony's resolution & is small/compact. Wish it was a bit wider at times, but over all a great lens.
It can also be adapted to EOS mount w/infinity focus.

Nice, Dan. I'd love to be sitting there with my Chamonix 4X5 field camera and some Portra 400.

Kenny,
Shame on me ! I had the Toyo with me & some Portra (not 400).
But wasn't setup yet so the default was digital....
