This small falls in Prairie Creek Redwoods SP doesn't appear to get much in the way of direct sunlight. Even though it was a disappointingly sunny day, I was really pushing to get a fast enough shutter for the water texture I wanted. I used tilt to allow a wider aperture to get every last bit of light I could. Some schmo put a group of very staged looking maple leaves on the nearest rock. They looked very out of place to me, so I cloned them out C&C welcome and appreciated!

Really nice one Tim. Love the comp and great job capturing the light in the deep shade.

Hey Tim,

An interesting take here. It works, but with the top area being lit up, it does seem to draw the eye up there. I think you processed it well considering. Have you tried brightening the shadow area a bit more?

Thanks for the comments Dale, Heron, and Jim! I'll definitely take a look at bringing up the bottom two-thirds.
