North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. This is the first fall on the Temperance River North of HWY 61. Minnesota has done a great job of making almost all the waterfalls on the North Shore accessible without a fee. Unfortunately this contrasts with Wisconsin and Michigan. The yellow color in the water is from the tamarack trees.

Hey Tim,

That is sure one hidden waterfall. Nice work with this. Have you tried cropping off the bottom a bit? Up to where the water is exiting between the two side walls? Maybe go to a 4:5 crop if needed. I think perhaps the flowing water at the bottom is distracting too much from a waterfall that is already pretty hidden.

Thanks Jim--that's a great idea. I'll try it and let you know what happens. That also gets rid of the blasted foam on the left. I find that more of curse than some find contrails

Looking along the gorge edge on the right I see a white line artifact that doesn't show up in the lightroom version. I'm suspect that is added by flickr's posting. Thanks again Jim.
