Around D-day each year our local steam railway (The Watercress Line) runs a "War on the Line" weekend with re-enactors plus asking paying punters to try to wear period-ish clothing. These are a few from last weekend (plus one in period colour) C&C welcomed

Fascinating set Niall. The period dress is wonderful. #s 1 & 4 are my favs - curious about the pensive expressions of the one lady who seems lost in reflection.

Thanks Bob They weren't posing for the photograph - people were asking some re-enactors to pose for them, but then you just get a very "posed" photo - I prefer to treat it as "street photography" even though they're in costume. I know, they were having some sort of discussion - probably about where to have lunch!! I keep trying to think of a suitable title - something to do with thinking about husband in Bomber Command or POW or similar

The facial expressions on the reenactors is excellent. Serious, pondering, apprehension....as Bob sez "lost I'm reflection" war does that.....
