p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Cedar Waxwings

I had been indisposed for the past few days and was really frustrated that I could not go out birding in the great weather we had over the weekend. Imagine my delight when I saw a pair of cedar waxwings in the trees behind my house! I had only seen them once in one of the parks nearby in fading light so it was not a good photographic opportunity. So this visit was a surprise treat.

Hi Amit,

I like the composition of the first and it's a very nice photo. The feather detail of the second is a bit better yet not the image of the first

Thanks all for the awesome feedback. I wish I could combine the feather detail of the second photo with the composition of the first. Guess will have to keep on clicking to get that perfect shot

First shot is better and feather detail is not that important. Second shot appears over-sharpened and over-saturated.

Very good job on these, Amit. You got some good clarity and a nice isolation. My recommendation would be to easy with the Saturation slider. Have you thought about a vertical crop in the first one?

Socrate, thanks for the comments. Per your suggestion, I added one with vertical orientation.
