Simple question here. Where can one purchase an end cap for the 1.4X II TC?

Not the camera end of the TC, but rather the front facing end? TIA!

Pretty sure that's just a body cap, but I'm at work so can't check it to be sure.

The cap for the front of the extender is the same as body cap.

B&H and, I'm sure, other retailers regularly stock them.

Look at this link:

This is designed specifically to clear the protruding element of the TC.

Thanks! I believe that it IS slightly different from the EOS body cap?

Yes, it is thicker. I have replaced all my body caps with this one so I do not fumble finding the right one during a shoot

Good idea. I tried to get a regular EOS body cap to work, but it's not made for the TCs.

You are right, A few minutes after I posted, I remembered that the body cap is a slightly different size from the ones for an extender. The cap that is made for the extenders will fit on the body, but the body caps do not fit on the extender. The caps for the extenders are a bit deeper than the ones for the body.

As already posted, this is the correct cap.

Yes, the extender cap is different than the regular camera body cap...

Since we are on the topic of caps for extenders, I figured I will throw this in :
For some odd reason, the "thread" wears out very quickly and the cap becomes loose. I had 6 different Canon extenders it always each cap developed this within a month. Anyone has a fix for that?

Put a short and narrow piece or two of gaffer's tape on the flat, inner surface of the cap that contacts the mount on the lens or body. It'll snug it up.

What a novel idea! Guess I would have kept fumbling around with body caps if you had not posted...right in front of me and I could not see it.

I mark my two Extender caps with yellow tape. I have too many regular body caps to bother switching all of them.

I mark my extender caps with a stencil pen. Cheaper than buying additional caps.
